Title of Work: Get to the caterpillar
Title of Work: Get to the caterpillar
1 Sentence Summary: Two frogs who are rivals race each other to the top to claim the prize of a caterpillar.
This is the story of two frogs who lived on a pond.
These two frogs, one green, the other brown, could never get along with one another.
Every morning they competed to see who could hop the furthest from one end of the pond to the other. Every afternoon, they competed to see who could snatch more flies out of the air in the shortest amount of time. And every night they competed to see who could croak the loudest.
It was quite evident from this point that they were rivals to the very end.
As their rivalry continued, they noticed a caterpillar had hatched on the top branches of a bush by the pond edge. As the days went by, the aforementioned caterpillar began to put on the pounds and in no time it was big and fat.
Now I am not sure about you, but to a frog, nothing is more lip smacking than a big fat caterpillar and both frogs decided that they would make this caterpillar their meal.
As they both hopped over to the bush, each realized that the other had the exact same idea. The green frog begun to shove the brown frog out of the way. Not wanting to be outdone, the brown fog pushed back.
This groveling continued till they arrived under the bush.
Standing at opposite ends of the same stem, both amphibians took up their respective places. Glaring hostilely at each other, they begun their ascent, each with the same thought "Get to the top before he does"
As they ascended the branch, the green frog began to tire. Stopping to catch his breath, he watched as the brown individual proceeded up higher. Not intending on losing, our innovative amphibian friend grabbed a stink bug on the nearest leaf and flung it in the brown frogs direction. As the name stinkbug suggest, this species of bug smells terrible. And this one landed on the brown frogs' nose.
Startled by the sudden appearance of this individual and its horrid stink, the brown frog frantically tried to swipe it off. As he was dealing with the stink, the green frog slipped pass him upwards, snickering in delight at the browns dilemma.
After managing to remove the foul smelling cling-on, the brown frog was fuming mad. With thunderclouds above his head, he stormed up the branch in pursuit of the green individual. As he passed a branch, he reached over and grabbed a prickly stick insect and with it smacked the green frog in the rear.
For those of you who don't know, the prickly stick insect is covered in sharp thorns like those on a rose bush. The green frog let out a loud croak and turning around to tend to his aching posterior, which allowed the brown to pass him.
Not intending on losing out to a prank he had begun, the green frog put on his mountain climbing shoes and with great speed closed the lead which the brown frog had gained. As they raced to the top, the caterpillar began to come within reach. Both frogs increased their pace, hoping to edge ahead.
However, just as they were about to both reach for the prize, a black crow landed in front of them on the branch which the caterpillar lay. Staring at the two, it gave them a smug look and with a peck grabbed the caterpillar and took to the air, letting off a mocking call.
Both frogs turned to each other and were about to start arguing when they realized that there was another more pressing problem on hand.....
How were they suppose to get down?

The Little Prince
Mr Twit
Mr Twit is portrayed as a horrid person of foul personality and equally revolting traits such as licking trapped food out of his mustache. His character is the classic "Bad Guy" in the book, to the reader he is un-likable, foul and cruel and as the story proceeds cements himself solidly as the role of the main antagonist . Mr Twit signifies all the evil things in the world which plague the human race, deceit, revenge, narcissism, gluttony, rage, lack of personal hygiene, apathy. Mr twit is a "living" embodiment of all that society has tried to remove from the population. Mr twit is therefore a good example of what would happen if anyone succumbs to the evils of the world. He feels no remorse in any of his actions and seems to take pride in them whenever they succeed. Mr twit is crucial to the story, being a main character, his actions allow the story to proceed. His interactions with his equally revolting wife help the reader better understand their separate yet characters and also look into how Mr twits mind works, the evil plans he formulates as the story goes along The key message behind Mr twit is that do not do unto others what you would not have them do unto you. In Mr twits case in the end he was tricked into standing on his head just as he had subjected the four monkeys which he owned to. Which brings me to my second point, which is, wit and brains can trump brawn. Though lacking the firepower being wielded by Mr twit, Muglewump the monkey, his family, the Roly Poly bird and its other feathered brethren succeeded in fooling Mr twit and ultimately casing him to succumb to his very own trap which he had originally intended for the birds.

Title of Work: The Frog in a Box
1 Sentence Summary: A frog trapped in a box employs some rather unorthodox methods to try and free himself.
There once lived a little frog in a small box.
This box lacked any form of opening to the world outside. It did not have windows, doors or any obvious openings.
This meant that the poor little frog was very lonely most of the time.
But one day, he decided that he had enough of the monotony of living in the confines of the box. He decided he was going to be FREE! He begun to think of an escape plan.
Going up to the side of the wall, he proceeded to knock it with all his might.
"THUNK"
The little frogs hand swelled to enormous proportions due to the pain. It turned out the wall was thicker than he had originally intended.
Frantically blowing at his swollen hand, he proceeded to produce a whiteboard from a back pocket, and begun writing in gibberish which only he understood. He then begun to mix a concoction of vile and rather dangerous chemicals to together, with one of them resulting in a loud "POOF".
Letting lose an evil laugh, he placed the vile in a stick of dynamite with a timed fused attached. Hurling it against the "offending" wall, he leaped over to the other side of the room.
With a spectacular boom, the concoction went off, sending the little frog bouncing around the room. Reverberating off the sides of the wall, the poor amphibian landed in a heap. Much to his chagrin, there was not even a scratch. It seemed he would have to return to the drawing board.
After much deliberating, the little critter decided to employ the power of flight. Producing a pair of leaves, his attempts to gain flight only resulted in a few centimetres at best off the floor with gravity pulling him back almost immediately.
Landing with a not so triumphant crash, he realised there had to be a more energy conserving and less painful method of achieving flight.
Rummaging around his pocket, he produced a variety of wacky gadgets which he proceeded to throw into a heap. Finally producing a huge flower, he snickered to himself.
Clasping it in both hands, he spun it like a hand helicopter. Spinning around at great speed, he begun to achieve lift. But the little frog did not notice this for he was too dizzy from grabbing on to the stalk.
As the flower achieved altitude, another problem sprung up. As the flower continued to spin, it had begun to lose its petals. And that was not the biggest of the frogs' worries. He had forgotten a very important element.
The lid of the box.
However luck seemed to be on the frogs side. Much like how a drill boors through wood, the sound of the flower hitting the lid produced a similar tone.
As he surfaced from his captive prison, the little frog saw individuals who looked like him. Hopping over as quickly as he could, he bounded to where the group had gathered.
But this group of frogs looked quite sad. As the little frog soon found out. By some cruel twist of fate, It turned out his box was just one of the many inside a larger one...
"Smack" as he face palmed himself.
